MedCheck is operated by Mentor Pods. You can reach us any time at matt@mentorpods.com. This policy explains, in plain words, what information MedCheck collects, how it is used, who can see it, and the choices you have. MedCheck is free to use.
1. This is not medical advice
MedCheck gives general information only. It is not medical advice, it does not create a doctor and patient relationship, and it is not for emergencies. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Always talk with your doctor or pharmacist before you start, stop or change any medicine.2. Who may use MedCheck
You must be 18 or older to create an account and use MedCheck.3. What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a user identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- What you enter. The people profiles you create, the medicines you list with their doses and schedules, and the optional details you add such as age range, sex, weight, kidney or liver concerns, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and alcohol use.
- Settings. Your chosen text size, the date and version of the terms you accepted, and similar preferences.
- Basic technical information. Standard records created when any website is used, such as sign in times, approximate request information and error reports, used to keep the service running and secure.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, insurance identifiers, financial account numbers or full medical records. Please do not enter them.
4. Information about other people
You may keep a list for someone you care for, such as a parent or a spouse. If you do, you are responsible for having that person's permission, or the legal authority to act for them, and for the accuracy of what you enter. You are responsible for everything entered in your account.5. Administrators can see your data
Platform administrators can access and view all account data, including medication lists, for support, security, quality and the operation of the service. Administrator access is limited to people who need it to run MedCheck, and it is used only for those purposes.6. How we use your information
- To show you your lists, charts, symptom searches and reports.
- To look up medicine information and interactions using AI services.
- To keep your account secure and to help you when you contact us.
- To improve the service, and to train and improve AI models. By using MedCheck you consent to your data, including medication information, being used for this purpose, in de identified form where practical.
When MedCheck looks up a medicine, only the medicine name is sent to the AI service. The shared medicine information cache that speeds up repeat lookups contains no personal information.
7. We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.8. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run MedCheck, such as hosting, database, authentication and AI processing providers, under confidentiality obligations and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of users, the public or Mentor Pods. If MedCheck is ever transferred to another owner, your information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.9. AI results can be wrong
Medicine and interaction information in MedCheck is generated and checked by AI systems. These systems can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. Percentages and risk labels are rough estimates, not predictions about you. Never rely on MedCheck alone for a health decision.10. Security
We use reasonable and appropriate safeguards, including encrypted connections, database access rules that keep your rows separate from other users, and limited administrator access. No service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and any authorities as required by applicable law.11. How long we keep information
We keep your account data while your account is open. If you delete your account, your people, medicines and settings are deleted from our live database promptly. Backups and routine logs may keep copies for a limited period before they age out. De identified information that cannot reasonably be linked back to you, including the shared medicine information cache, may be kept.12. Deleting your account and data
You can delete everything yourself. Open Settings inside the app and use the button called "Delete my account and all data". You will be asked to confirm. This removes your people, medicine lists, settings and your sign in account. It cannot be undone. You can also write to matt@mentorpods.com and ask us to do it for you.13. Cookies and local storage
MedCheck uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences such as your text size and which person you were viewing. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third party ad trackers.14. Children's privacy
MedCheck is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, write to matt@mentorpods.com and we will remove it.15. Your choices
You can edit or delete any person or medicine at any time, change your text size, delete your whole account, or contact us at matt@mentorpods.com with a question or a request about your information. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, such as asking for a copy of your data or asking us to correct it. Write to us and we will help.16. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top and, for meaningful changes, ask you to accept the updated version the next time you sign in.17. Contact
